The moment I took a bite I HAD to capture a photo to tell everyone how IMMACULATE these baked goods are! Now that we’ve enjoyed our treats we are here to tell you all to GO GET YOURS!! These are hands down the BEST pastries we’ve gotten in the Rockford area! We got a butter croissant, pear almond tart, chocolate chip cookie, chicken meat pie, and a pecan coffee cake AND OMG!!! What incredible flavors that pair amazing with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning!! The atmosphere was so inviting and the staff were lovely and it felt so cozy and loving the moment you walk in! 10000/10! Please go experience this wonderful bakery! ✨

Visited for the first time today and had a chocolate croissant which was incredibly flaky and with rich chocolate and a blueberry scone which was large enough to last through 2 mugs of coffee. Will definitely be back to try the meat filled pastries and muffins. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thur Jan 5, 2023 Arrived at opening time
today (7:30 am) to try the cronuts I had
seen great reviews for. They totally lived
up to the stellar reviews. It was an explosion of flaky sweetness that I will go
back for again. I bought 2, and ate 1 on the way to my daily workout. The 2nd I saved for the next day. Warmed it in the microwave for 25 seconds and it was like
it just came out of the oven. 😋👍
Sat Feb 18, 2023 came at opening time and got a cronut and cherry danish. Both were excellent. 👍👍👍👍👍

The Danish, bread pudding and brownies we got were amazing! Get there early because they sell out fast! The line was about 10 people long but moved fast. The building it self is starting to show its age. Congrats on your success but start investing in your building.

You can not go wrong with anything at this fine establishment. I went for three days in a row after I stumbled upon it by chance.
On the first day, I bought lemon poppyseed muffins, cheese Danish, and almond croissants. I went back the second day and found that their offerings had changed, so obviously, I had to try something new! I bought a mix of muffins, danishes, and croissants. On the third day, I bought biscuits and gravy, caramel pecan bread pudding, bearclaw, and curry chicken meat pie. Oh, and the pound cake tastes like sweet butter. My 7 year old daughter finished that before we got home. She said it was better than pancakes.
The only complaint I have is that they're only open three days a week! But, as an amateur baker that used to sell at farmers' markets, I appreciate the time and effort that goes into this. And, I hope you are able to enjoy time with family and loved ones when your doors are not open.

I went in late one morning and most of their product was gone. But I tried a few things they still had. WOAH! I took my husband a piece of coconut cake and he put that away quick. He loved it.

This is absolutely my all-time favorite bakery!! The pastries are baked to perfection. We usually get croissants and danishes but always try something new as they rotate bakery items often. The staff is really kind and friendly and do a wonderful job making goods that are above and beyond chain establishments and other bakeries in town. Highly recommend supporting this local business!

Banana Cherry has the BEST biscuits and gravy I have ever had in my life — and I don’t say that lightly! Hands down the best place around. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and full of flavor.
Their pastries are also incredible, and the English sausage roll is absolutely to die for. 🤤 You can tell they put so much care into what they make.
The best part? They’re local! 💛 If you haven’t checked them out yet, you’re missing out — just make sure you get there early on Fridays because they go FAST!

This bakery did not disappoint! It was AMAZING! Line was out the door, which was a good sign. Several customers told me it was worth the wait, and they were right! Highly recommend the croissants, danish, and cinnamon rolls! Some of the best I’ve had!! Check it out, and don’t worry about how the outside looks. Food is fabulous!!

Decided to try Banana Cherry after seeing a post about local bakeries and was not disappointed. I grabbed so many pastries and cookies for a friends gathering. Was a little sticker shocked at first but after trying the baked goods I totally understood the pricing, I also selected 6 cookies and 5 or so pastries. Will 100% be back for more. Gentlemen working the cashier was super kind and welcoming! You can tell he loves what he does.

Best bakery of my life! This review has been a long time coming as we have come to this place multiple times over since our first time last year while living in Rockford, IL. Now fair warning, this is not a bakery for cheap treats and also not a bakery that has unlimited amounts of the same baked goods so plan to get there at least 30 minutes before opening if you want the best pick of the litter and be prepared to spend more than just $20 (Mainly because you'll want to buy everything).
When I say we have never been disappointed by the taste of the baked goods, I mean no matter what we have tried at this bakery we have not been disappointed. The only time we were let down is when they had run out of our favorite items (Biscuits and gravy, the apple turnovers). We have had their cinnamon rolls, cookies, donuts, apple turnovers, biscuits & gravy, croissants, etc., you name it we have tried most of them with us still wanting even more. The cost may be a little pricier than typical bakeries, hours a bit different (Due to it being a really local and small business in the best of terms), line being long (Especially right at opening), and only really meant for takeout but this is a place I would brag about to anyone in the world. This bakery can easily hold its own against any big city bakery.
The staff is also one of the most amazing, friendliest, and down to earth people you can meet. A special shoutout to the guy who was handling the register and offered us one additional sweet treat on top of all we were buying already because they ran out of biscuits and gravy. One day I hope to sit down with those that work and run this bakery because there have been brief conversations but the owners seem to have a rich story of how they came to be with this bakery based on my previous conversations.
